histcross is a free project. This means, you can download the software for free, but I also have to pay my bills, so I would be thankful, if you support the project by donating 1 EUR for your download.

You can download the source code of histcross. In order to install histcross, you need to do several things. Please refer to the install wiki for details.

If you use git, you can clone the latest version of histcross by typing: git clone git://github.com/mkalus/histcross.git

If you want to test histcross without having to install anything on your system, you can try out a live CD. There are two possibilities to test histcross:

• Download one of the following iso-images and burn it onto a CD (Nero and others can do this for you - a free program for windows is ISO burner). Boot from the CD and test without changing anything on your system. This works on PCs and Macs alike.
• The image also contains a virtual system, if you do not want to waste a CD. Mount the iso-Image (on Windows you can use Daemon Tools) and read the index.html-Page for instructions. Instructions come for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
